5'-Nucleotidase is an enzyme found in the liver, and high blood levels are very specific to the presence of liver and gall bladder diseases such as cirrhosis, hepatitis, and liver cancer. High blood levels are also seen in people with other illnesses, or when taking a medication that damaged the liver.
